When did you join the Segmed team and what were you doing prior to joining?
I joined Segmed in October 2022! Before Segmed, I worked in other healthcare startups developing partnership strategy and scaling relationships with startups, pharmaceutical and medical device companies, and data partners.
Can you give us insight into what your day to day looks like?
At the moment, my day has been filled with onboarding activities. I’m learning all about Segmed (the company, people, data, products, culture and ways of working together), the medical imaging industry, Segmed’s current and future customers, etc.
What are you most excited about at Segmed?
Segmed’s products fill a crucial need in the medical imaging and AI space, and I’m excited to bring the powerful data to customers. I also love the experience of joining an early stage startup and being part of the buildup to success.
Where have you lived? What has been your favorite place and why?
I grew up in the Cincinnati, OH metropolitan area, which is where I live now. I lived in Ecuador while in the Peace Corps, which is the most interesting place I have lived. I loved experiencing the culture, learning from the people I interacted with, trying new foods, and exploring the incredibly diverse and beautiful country. It was an incredibly rewarding and humbling experience. I also adopted my dog (Dali) from Ecuador - that alone is enough to make it my favorite place!
Do you have any book recommendations?
I spend most of my free time with my family and our 2 dogs. I also love biking, hiking, cooking, painting, doing house projects, and working on puzzles!
