Aline Lutz

My role is both internal and external-facing. Internally, I lead the clinical team, whose main responsibility is to curate data for A.I. projects. I also collaborate with Product and the engineering team in anything medically-related. Externally, I engage with our enterprise customers and scope out the projects that will be executed by Segmed. As such, I have a lot of meetings and email exchanges with customers. For all these projects, I keep up to date documentation – this activity takes a good portion of my day. I usually work from 10 am to 7 pm, but my working hours are flexible to accommodate meetings with European and Asian customers. For instance, Japan and South Korea are 12h from my time zone, so these meetings are really early or later in the day. Nevertheless, I enjoy collaborating with companies from all over the world.

I liked to organize all our customer projects on Jira, and to create a simple yet effective framework to keep track of them. We do have many dataset projects, so it was easy to get lost without a management system.

I lived in Brazil most of my life, but left the country to study abroad on 2 occasions. I lived in Fort Lauderdale, Florida during high school, and in Barcelona, Spain for my Master's studies. My favorite place is where I grew up and currently live, in Porto Alegre, southern Brazil. People in Brazil don't move as much. My whole family, including my 3 sisters, live here. Most of my childhood friends are still around as well.

I enjoy playing with my 2 kids, Cecilia (3 yo), and Henri (5 yo). We either spend time inside, or I take them to the playground or the pool.
